We’ll share with you five techniques on how to make your 2021 New Year’s Resolution more effective on this blog.
- Check Out Your Core. Why are you pursuing these goals? What are the real reasons? We recommend studying the core of your resolutions by digging deeper. Maybe you want to lose weight because you want to be healthy and live longer, and not because you want to look better in the picture. The latter sounds a little shallow and will not push you to keep doing it.

- Create a Vision Board. Or you can write your dreams down and put them where you can always see them, say when you wake up in the morning. Keeping them only in your brain that tends to be forgetful will not remind you to continue working on it every day.
- Find Accountability Partners. When I realized I needed to lose weight, finding a friend who’d do it with me was the most effective technique. We send each other photos of food that we’re going to eat and update each other if we’re doing our daily exercise. We encourage and celebrate each other’s successes. Thus, whatever your plans are for next year, find someone who can help you achieve them.
- Set Realistic Goals with Actionable Steps. Based on your current circumstances, what are the things you can easily do? What are the actions you can take right now? Create a weekly goal and break them into smaller steps you can take each day.
- Be As Specific As possible. Please don’t say you want to lose weight; It’s too general. Instead, say I’ll lose two kilograms by 31 Jan. 2021. This technique is more effective because you got the target goal in your mind. How much money do you want to save? How many new words you’d like to learn?
